As a group we explore textile techniques from all over the world that existed prior to the introduction of multishaft looms.

Previously known as the Bandweaver's group, our basis is tablet, backstrap and Inkle weaving. We are also delving into more unusual techniques such as Sprang, fingerweaving, nalbinding, lucet, ply splitting, netting, weft twining, warp twining and more. Our aim is to keep these techniques alive and pass the knowledge on.

The group is fun and informal and we encourage beginners and experienced weavers to come along and join us or just check out what we are up to.
We are proud to be the Australian Representative of UK based 'The Braid Society'.
