These Turkish Spindles were hand made with beautiful wood, in Victoria. The Turkish spindle is made of independant parts and can be easily taken apart, so small to take with you. The whorl consists of 2 pieces, which slide into each other to form 4 arms and the shaft runs through both pieces. On a Turkish spindle the yarn is wound around the arms. Once it is full the ball can be removed by sliding whorl and ball up and off the shaft. The ball can then be used or plyed straight away. The spindle is well balanced and a dream to use.
