Judith Mottram

Secretary

Judith learnt to crochet from her Grandmother at an early age. Over the years she embroidered, painted in water colours, felted and crocheted. Judith spent 30 years in the food industry, gaining extensive experience in running small businesses. In 2015, after a trip to Japan, Judith started on the weaving rabbit hole, completing both 4 shaft and 8 shaft Certificates of Weaving.

While weaving is her passion, she also completed the Introduction to Spinning course and is trying to improve her spinning skills.

Judith loves to interact with other members and learn from them. Please say hello if you see Judith at the Guild.

The Guild's aim is to bring together those who practise handweaving, spinning and allied crafts. To help and encourage them to increase their knowledge, understanding and skills by discussion, demonstration, exhibition, teaching and the provision of quality resource materials.

In the spirit of reconciliation the Handweavers and Spinners Guild of Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today.
