Lyndon Regan

Minute Secretary

I have been into textiles since I was a child; sewing, knitting, crochet etc. I began spinning and weaving as a teenager when I also discovered the joy of dyes. Life was busy with family and career but my interest remained even if not much time was spent actually making. Upon retirement I attended a variety of workshops, completed the Certificate of Spinning course and am currently completing the Certificate of 4 shaft Weaving.

The Guild's aim is to bring together those who practise handweaving, spinning and allied crafts. To help and encourage them to increase their knowledge, understanding and skills by discussion, demonstration, exhibition, teaching and the provision of quality resource materials.

In the spirit of reconciliation the Handweavers and Spinners Guild of Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today.
